COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Printable Course Map

The 5K Course

The course has very little elevation change, is accurately measured, and will have mile markers. The first 3/4 mile is along a rocked perimeter trail. The remainder of the course is on internal wooded trails with spotted open areas for better passing. Proper athletic attire and footwear are required. This is a natural trail with some exposed roots and occasional sharp turns. The course starts and finishes in the parking lot of the Lund Ave entrance to the park.

This is NOT a wheel friendly course. Baby joggers and wheelchairs will need to stay in the back and use caution.

The 1 Mile Course

The one mile course is all flat. It follows the same gravel trail as the 5K start, then cuts back before the skate park into the finish.

PACKET PICK UP and DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION

Packet pick up is on race day at the park. Day of Race registration and packet pick up begins at 07:30 and goes until start times.

DIRECTIONS

Take the Tremont exit off Highway 16. Head East; toward Port Orchard. Tremont becomes Lund Ave after crossing Bethel. The Lund Ave entrance to the South Kitsap Community Park is a left hand turn, at Chase Rd SE, approximately 3/4 mile beyond crossing Bethel.

Google map of location.

If you are using a GPS, I recommend typing in the Park Vista Retirement and Assisted Living address. This is a facility at the corner of Jackson and Lund across the street south of the park. The address is 2944 SE Lund Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366

Additional parking is available in the Jackson entrance around the corner of the park.
See the course map for the orientation of the park.
