2002

In preparation for the first annual HotFoot 5K and Kids dash, a work party was held for trail grooming of the course. On June 22nd, 2002 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm volunteers gathered to rake trails and cut away any debris that may interfere with the 5K course.
It was a lot of work but the group managed to open up a large section of trail.

Aaron Archer followed up with his troop (#1526) of Boy Scouts and spent three days re-cutting and leveling an abandoned section of trail. Very impressive work.

Volunteer Association Chair Mike Smith lead the work party at the park. Pictured starting from left to right, back to front are RS Lucke, Mike Smith, Darren Pratt, Chris Burlison, Tammy Ross, Chirs Cribbs, and Deryl McCartney. Not pictured was Derek Smith.
